PALACE RESTORATION

PALACE RESTORATION
The project is aimed at preserving and restoring the historical heritage of the Narovlya Palace, which was built in 1850 by Daniel Horvat. Based on archival drawings and photographs provided by Andrey Horvat, I endeavored to meticulously recreate the magnificence and beauty of the estate's exterior as it was in its prime.
The history of the Palace is rich and fascinating. Constructed in 1850 on the banks of the Pripyat River, it comprised a palace complex with a chapel, fountain, gazebo, and utility buildings. Its luxurious decor, intricate moldings, extensive library, and unique parquet made it a splendid example of architecture of its time.
However, after 1917, the estate was nationalized, marking a new chapter in its history. Sanatorium, school, war, and the Chernobyl nuclear disaster — all these events led to the complete abandonment of the palace. Today, the writer Andrey Horvat, Alexander Baranov, and Peter Kuznetsov are fighting for its restoration. Over a thousand volunteers are participating in the efforts to preserve this unique monument of history and culture.

The project's goal is not only to create a photorealistic 3D visualization but also to draw attention to the history of this unique place.
